Erika took the top spot with her new song, but I'm not really feeling it. Also, the version of Slow Down and Field of Dreams don't show up on The New Beginning, so you can only get em from this single. The nana-less version of Slow Down is just as good as the album version, and Field of Dreams, despite having the same beat as Street Dreams, is well worth listening to. Oh yeah is far from my favorite Zeebra song, but the other two songs on the single make up for it (imo). ![]() Field of Dreams uses the beat from Street Dreams (also from The New Beginning) and has a similar hook. Slow Down is also on that album, but features Nana, who does the chorus. Oh Yeah is off his The New Beginning album (2006). His upcoming album, King of Hip Hop, will have 36 tracks and a dvd about his trip to the states. To put it plainly, he IS Japanese Hip-Hop. Putting his record-breaking album sales aside, he started the first Japanese hip-hop show in Japan, Beats to the Rhyme, and often produces for other rappers and pop stars (Amuro Namie being one). He started his solo career in 1997 and joined Future Shock (home to Uzi and RudeFace Boy, among many others). He started in the legendary group King Gidora with K Dub Shine and DJ Oasis, two people he still occasionally works with. Zeebra is credited as one of the first popular rappers in Japan and as the Father of Japanese Hip-Hop. ![]() ![]() Everybody probably knows all this stuff, but I'll put it out anyways.
